We have four school houses and they are called Barnwell, Braybrooke, Fotheringhay and Rockingham.  The names were selected from a list of local castles some still standing some long gone.

The four house shields are displayed on the wall in our school hall.  Children are put in a house when they join the school and work together as a team to be the best house.

At the end of each year a shield is awarded to the house with the most points, and on sports day a cup is also awarded to the house which scores the most points on the day.  These trophies are held for a twelve month period.

Each house has a house captain who is elected from Year 6 by other members of the same house.  These elections take place in the first week of the summer term.

Children can gain housepoints for good work, good behaviour, being polite etc.  Children can also get housepoint certificates when they have gained 10 housepoints (rainbow award), 20 housepoints (bronze award), 30 housepoints (silver award) and 50 housepoints (gold award).
