Adding words and photos and video clips

You can add your words and photos to this site instantly. Just register a username and password, and off you go! You'll be guided through the process by simple on-screen instructions and it only takes 10 minutes. Video clips can also be added.

So what could you add?

  • an old photo of Kettering
  • a new photo recording some aspect of the town today
  • memories of life in the town
  • information about some aspect of the town
  • a video or oral recording

Look round this site to see what other people have added. Most people just add one photo or one paragraph of text. Others add whole photo galleries or sections of the site.

It's so easy!

  • You can sign in right now, create a rough draft or test page, and log in later to finish it.
  • When you're ready, you press a button to submit your words and photos to our editors for publishing

Please note, your comments and page suggestions will not appear instantly, but are first sent for approval and sub-editing where necessary.

These approvals are processed in batches, usually once per month. Although your post will not appear immediately, you will be sent an email if your comment has been approved and published.

Would you prefer some printed instructions?

If you'd like some instructions on paper, you can print out our tutorial, which is a Word document. You can download this at the bottom of the page.
