This ceremony took place around a temporary memorial, made of wood and designed to look like the cenotaph in London, in front of the Library.
The Kettering Industrial Cooperative Society Magazine, of which a copy is held in Kettering Library, contains many articles about KICS workers killed in the war, and includes an article on one man who was awarded the Victoria Cross.
Does anyone know the name of the Victoria Cross winner?
